Frequently asked questions

These are the questions we get asked most. Can't see yours? Just ask, and one of the growers will email you back within one working day.

Ordering and payment

How can I pay?

By iDEAL, Bancontact, credit card, PayPal or later with Klarna. Payments run through Mollie, the payment partner of over 200,000 web shops.

Can I pay later?

Yes, with Klarna. You get your plants first and pay afterwards, within the period Klarna gives you. Klarna checks at checkout whether paying later is available to you.

Is there a discount on my first order?

Yes. The code KASVERS10 gives you 10% off your first order. Enter it in your basket.

Do I need an account?

No. You can order without an account. You'll get a confirmation email with a link that shows how your order is getting on.

Can I still change my order?

Yes, as long as the grower hasn't got it ready yet. Send us a message with your order number as soon as you can. If you do it the same evening, it almost always works.

Can I order for my business?

Yes. For offices, shops and larger projects we're happy to put together a proposal. Choose Business or large project as the subject in the contact form.

Delivery

When will my plant arrive?

Order before 21:00 on a weekday and you'll have it the next day. We deliver Tuesday to Saturday. Order at the weekend and it arrives on Tuesday.

How much is delivery?

€4.95. From €40, delivery is free. Large plants don't cost anything extra.

How is my plant packed?

Without plastic, in cardboard and paper, with a care card. Every plant comes in the pot from the photo, with its nursery pot inside.

Do you deliver to Belgium?

Not yet, for now we only deliver in the Netherlands. Belgium is coming soon.

What if I'm not at home?

Then the driver will try your neighbours. If that doesn't work, they'll come back on the next delivery day.

Do you deliver when it freezes?

In winter we pack plants with insulation. In a hard frost we don't deliver, and we move your delivery back a day or two. We'll let you know by email.

Plants and care

Where do the plants come from?

From three family nurseries in West Brabant. Your plant stays in the greenhouse until you order it, so it never comes out of a warehouse.

How big is the plant I get?

Each size shows the height including the pot. A plant isn't made in a factory, so it can differ from the photo by a few centimetres.

How often should I water?

It depends on the plant. You will find it on every plant page and on the card that comes with your plant. If in doubt, feel the soil: once the top few centimetres are dry, it can have some water.

Should I repot my plant?

Not straight away. It can happily stay in the pot it came in for the first year. Repot in spring, or when roots start growing out of the bottom of the nursery pot.

Which plants are safe for cats and dogs?

The Calathea orbifolia, the Chinese money plant, the kentia palm and the spider plant. Every plant in the shop says whether it's safe for pets.

What should I do if my plant looks poorly?

Send a message through the contact form and choose Sick plant or plant doctor as the subject. The plant doctor, one of our growers, will email you back within one working day. Within 30 days of delivery, your plant is also covered by the plant guarantee.
